Copper Bend Residents to Enjoy NW Houston's New Multi-Use Trail System

Outdoor enthusiasts get ready! Northwest Houston, home of Copper Bend at Indian Trails, has unveiled their plans for an impressive multi-use trail system that will link existing neighborhoods like Copper Bend to various trails and parks throughout the area.

All in all, the new trail system will extend five miles and link 10 subdivisions, including Copper Bend, providing safe and efficient connectivity for one of Houston’s fastest growing regions. Once complete, this trail will include a pedestrian bridge over Faulkey Gully to connect Lakes at Northpoint to Village Creek. In addition, travelers will enjoy an undercrossing at Faulkey Gully and Spring Cypress Road which will connect to existing trails leading to the former Compaq complex and the Kickerillo Mischer Preserve as well as an undercrossing under Telge Road at Little Cypress Creek.

This pedestrian and bike-friendly trail system will range from five feet to eight feet wide and offer users wayfinding signage, easily-accessible benches for those needing a rest, trash receptacles to help keep the area clean and most importantly, a shade trellis to offer respite from those warm summer days.

Pedestrians will also enjoy three walking-friendly bridges including one over Faulkey Gully to provide greater connectivity across creeks and drainage channels.

This extensive multi-use trail system unveiled by Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District #5 is going to benefit thousands of families looking for a safe way to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. Whether it’s packing a picnic on the weekend, riding bikes with friends, or just enjoying a leisurely walk on a Sunday morning, these trails will enable families to spend time together in a comfortable and family-friendly way.

Copper Bend at Indian Trails in Cypress is ideal for everyone from first-time homebuyers to empty nesters looking for less space and more amenities to families of school-age children looking to take advantage of a top-notch Tomball ISD education.
